First things first: the website hasn’t been getting a lot of love: as always, the best way to stay on top of what I’m up to is to check in on instagram at https://www.instagram.com/distinctivewoodworking/
A few things:
- Find me at 613flea (https://www.613flea.ca/) on Dec 8, Dec 15, Dec 22 at Lansdowne’s Aberdeen: 5PM to 10PM.
- My son and I are busily making new items, and we’ll have a lot to show on those last 3 nights
- You can also find my son & I’s work at https://www.instagram.com/shopmotif613/?hl=en. Amy at Shop Motif has been a great supporter.

A few thoughts:
There are A LOT of organizations around the Ottawa area that support autistic kids, or support families with various special needs children. Please don’t do charitable support of the business with the CEO making 6 figure or 7 figure salaries and the huge advertising budget. Support the small charity that is all volunteers, support something like the Salvation Army: they’re one of the most financially efficient charities in all of North America. More of the dollars you donate gets to the people in need than almost *any* other charity.
Please, PLEASE, think about supporting Ausome: they really are, well, awesome!

If you want to make a donation referencing the Crone family or distinctive woodworking? I’m fine with that. And please, if you work for a large corporation, almost every single one of them does ‘donation matching’ So you can make a donation, support Ausome, and then get 2X or 3X or 4X as much money through your employer’s donation matching programs.
